What University of Arizona dorms are the nicest?
I have heard that La Paz, Villa Del Puente, and Pueblo de la Cienega are the best, and that Coronado is the worst. I am applying for residency and would like to know someone’s opinion of the girls’ dorms! Please only reply if you have been to UA and have first-hand experience in their dorms!
They’ve got descriptions below but the three that you listed are on the row leading to the rec center. They’re newer, so yes, they are nicer. However I don’t believe there is a sink in any of those dorms. Gila and Yuma have sinks in the rooms and are on the other side of the student union (where the food is on campus). So really, you’ve got the choice between location and newness.
Coronado is fun filled but has a reputation for being loud. There are what? 8 stories full of freshman can do that. Good luck!

I guess it depends on what you want from your residence hall experience. If you want a high social life in the dorm with lots of parties and such, Arizona-Sonora and Coronado are the best for that. Coronado’s plumbing is terrible though. AZ-SO is quite nice, but if you don’t want parties, don’t go there. The dorms along James E. Roger’s Way (Gila, Maricopa, Yuma) are nice location but the rooms are small, and the buildings are old. Ditto with Coconino. Kaibab-Huachuca is similar, it’s cozy, but not new. Manzanita-Mohave is big and has nice facilities and is very accessible to the Arts section of campus (so is Coconino, Yuma, Gila, Maricopa). Pima is beautiful, but I think difficult to get into, since I think a lot of disabled students use it. Yavapai is great, comfy, but not old and dusty (although older than the Highland dorms). Babcock and Skyview are off campus, and I know the all have personal bathrooms, and babcock has a pool. Big rooms as well. The Highland dorms you mentioned are all beautiful, but i would select the on furthest from 6th street (not sure which one that is) because there is currently construction going on, and that should continue for at least the next year. they are building a new dorm. Hopi is tiny, but some people like it. Hope that helped some.
