The requirements for those types of weapons are insane, including FBI Back Ground Checks and your local Chief of Law Enforcement signing off.

I am licensed to conceal & carry. Do I? Only a couple times & one of those was to the range. I am an advocate for gun rights obvioulsy, but open carry in public places does carry with it an entirely different perception. If you want to carry a weapon to a presidential rally, and it’s in your rights to do so, you better be prepared to handle the blow back from people wanting you to justify your actions. I think these individuals were making a statement, but I don’t think they chose the best arena to do it in. There is no doubt that open carry at a healthcare forum is going to draw attention, especially negative attention when it is pasted on every media outlet.
