What are my chances of getting in to Arizona State University?

Written by admin on Feb 4th, 2010 | Filed under: arizona state university

I’m a White, male California resident. I have a 3.44 GPA and have already completed my AA in General Education. My major is criminal justice.

Easy peasy. ASU accepts 90% of their applicants, they’re not choosy, they’re a party college with strong academics. Tons of companies recruit from ASU. You should get in easily.

As a transfer will i get into Arizona State University for the Fall 2010 semester?

I am halfway through my sophomore year at Sacred Heart University with a 3.11 GPA and a 1150(reading and math) on my SAT’s. i had like a 3.3 gpa in high school if that matters. I looking to go to the business program. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes you will get in. ASU has a 92% acceptance rate… pretty much everyone gets in. It’s even a little higher for transfer students. With that..plus you have a pretty solid GPA, there is basically no question as to whether you’ll get in or not.

arizona state university and financial aid?

Written by admin on Jan 19th, 2010 | Filed under: arizona state university

we are a low income family. My husband is attending cal state San bernardino.
We have been looking into arizona state university & have been thinking about moving to Arizona. We get enough financial aid to live where we are now with the aid and my husband working.
Do you think we would get about the same & be able to pay for rent if my husband were going to Arizona state? the rent is so much cheaper out there & saving more money is what we are aiming for.

careers.scienceontheweb.net - it has detailed info how to apply for financial aid and scholarships to get more cash.

I have a 3.5 gpa, a 19 on my ACT, and have only failed one class, honors pre-algebra. They forced me into two year algebra, would that effect my chances of getting in? I am also out of state. What are my chances of getting in with these credentials?

My understanding is that ASU is an easy school to get into. Most people use it as a back up so you shouldn’t have any problem.

They will accept just about anybody. As long as you spell your name and your Social Securtiy number correctly on your app you’ll get in. Unless your’e a complete dipshit

I’ve heard the acceptance rate is like 90%, but I’m from Alabama and will have 41 credits by the time I want to transfer there in Fall 2010. I have a 3.6 gpa and a 20 on the ACT. I didn’t know if I had less of a chance since I’m out-of-state, or what. What are my chances?

I can nearly guarantee your acceptance with that phenomenal grade point average. I attended University of Missouri and was able to transfer to ASU with only a 3.0 GPA. Don’t worry about getting in; just be concerned with paying for it. Out of state is expensive. I went the financial aid route. After you have lived in the great state of Arizona for a year, apply for in-state tuition. They will look at things like having in-state employment & proving that you reside in AZ with proof you pay rent here. Good luck!

How easy is it to get into Arizona State University?

i screwed up my first 2 years of highschool so now i have a 2.3 gpa but i have a 25 on the act. what are my chances of getting accepted?

I wouldn’t say they’re the best, but there’s always a possibility. About 3% of students who got in had a GPA between 2.0 and 2.49. But if you work harder in your last 2 years of high school, you’ll most likely do just fine. Or you could go to a community college for a couple years, and then apply to ASU. And remember: GPA and the ACT scores are important, but they’re not everything. Schools also try to figure out who you really are, and see how you could help improve/add to their community. And if something happened (death, illness, etc.) during your first 2 years, schools are very understanding of that sort of thing. The same thing sort of happened to me in my first year of high school. I didn’t realize how different high school would be from middle school, and I did really badly. If that’s what you did, don’t worry; a lot of students have that problem. As long as you improve some how in academics, and show the college what you have to offer them, you’ll do great. Good luck!

i am approaching my associates degree at community college in chicago illinois and currently have a 2.9 gpa out of 4.0..i plan on transferring in the fall of 2010..what are my chances of getting accepted and also when should i start applying?

Generally it’s not difficult to transfer although it depends on your intended major. Some colleges at the university have much higher requirements than others for admission. Also be prepared to lose a few of your earned credits that may not transfer.

I gave you the link that will answer questions regarding specifics such as GPA and application dates.
