What is arizona state university like?

I’m applying to asu, but haven’t visited yet. Is the social life good? Are the basketball gyms packed all the time? weekend nights/going out to phoenix? etc?

They accept over 90% of the people who apply — how good can it be?

    ouch to the person above me. anyway, i don’t live in az so i’m not going to be a HUGE help but what i can tell you is since it’s a state university, it’s more likely to be a sports and party school. this doesn’t mean that it’s a joke. it just means that generally, state universities are big into sports and partying more than private ones are. and i’m sure they have those local bars where everyone chills at that every college town has
