What is arizona state university like?

Written by admin on Sep 29th, 2009 | Filed under: arizona state university

I’m applying to asu, but haven’t visited yet. Is the social life good? Are the basketball gyms packed all the time? weekend nights/going out to phoenix? etc?

They accept over 90% of the people who apply — how good can it be?

I want to know what you think the best dorms would be to fit a social, fun person and who likes new clean buildings.

Coronado, definitely. Really clean, safe, and the RA’s aren’t pricks

: Why do illegal aliens get benefits like welfare, food stamps, school lunch programs. And, free education?

Written by admin on Sep 27th, 2009 | Filed under: arizona education

Why do illegal aliens get benefits like welfare, food stamps, school lunch programs. And, free education? For example, an illegal couple in California with two anchor babies can get as much as $12,000 in public benefits." "In Arizona, at the Maricopa County Medical Center, an anchor baby is born every three hours. Two out of three births are to illegal aliens, 2,900 each year. It’s a huge part of the $28 million overall spent treating illegal aliens at just one hospital."(25) When was the last time your wife, sister, daughter or any other family members received FREE prenatal care and delivery? Illegal aliens, expect to, and get, what you and your family cannot, and to add ‘insult to injury,’ their babies are paid for by YOU! What say you?

Illegal aliens must, in some way, benefit those who support their CRIMINAL presence here. Think about it for a few minutes….. Liberals like to tax the citizens heavily, they like to spend that tax money on programs that make them feel good, this applies to illegal aliens…. thosw who support their presence here are using other people’s money to pay the enormous costs associated with the illegal alien presence in the USA… if those same people who support the illegal aliens with other people’s money had to use their own money to do so, their attiudes would quickly change….

I for one, do not appreciate even one cent of the taxes I pay going to support the illegal alien invasion or for foreign aid…. We have too many people in this country that would benefit by keeping the money in this country. Our children would especially benefit in the area of education… no money wasted on Spanish or ELA classes for children of criminal illegal aliens…. and lest anyone forget… all ILLEGAL ALIENS are CRIMINALS…

NO AMNESTY, no BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP for children of illegal alien parents…. no rewards to illegal aliens… they are thieves and they are actively stealing from America….

When the illegal aliens and the costs associated with their ILLEGAL presence in the USA are looked at carefully, you will find that they cost the legal American taxpayer much more that they illegally contribute to our society. They are a definite NEGATIVE and they are putting us in the RED.

ILLEGAL ALIENS: GET OUT and STAY OUT.

University for Geology (NAU or WWU)?

Written by admin on Sep 26th, 2009 | Filed under: northern arizona university

Hi, I’m a student at a community college in California and have completed all the transfer prep work for a geology major. I’ve applied to, and got accepted to: northern arizona university
(NAU), Western Washington University (WWU), and Eastern Washington University (EWU). I’m wondering if anyone knows the pro’s and cons of each school’s department, tuition etc. Which would be a better school to go to for an Undergrad B.S in Geological Sciences?? What about campus life? I’m stuck and I need to decide soon!! I’ve checked out the schools websites, but I’d like to find out more from someone who knows. Thanks.

I live in AZ, and I know NAU has a great program. The campus life however…… well, it really sucks. Flagstaff is a small town with nothing to do. Phoenix is a 2 hour drive…. if you want to make the drive.

Hope this helps a little. Take care.

Which Arizona college should I attend?

Written by admin on Sep 25th, 2009 | Filed under: northern arizona university

I want to eventually major in ornithology (study of birds) specifically birds of prey. But I cant decide whether I should attend northern arizona university and major in zoology or if I should attend university of arizona and major in Natural Resources. (Where Id keep my interest in birds as a hobby)

The cheaper the better (after all Im currently a college student- and indefinitely poor, it seems!)
Im also not that great at math.. I know this is a big deal being a science major. Im not terrible at it.. I just have to work harder than most.

Please only answer if you have constructive advice. Feel free to ask questions :) Best answer gets the points.

University of Arizona

What colleges are best to transfer to from a community college on the west coast?

Written by admin on Sep 25th, 2009 | Filed under: arizona colleges

Next year I am transferring from my community college to a four year university. I however do not know which one. What are the best colleges to transfer to right now. I am looking in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Colorado.

Like others have said, the UC system (UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD are way up there in rankings, as well as SB, I, R, etc.). However, it is easier to get into those schools if you are a CA resident/going to a CC in California.

If you’re not in CA, you can also try U of Arizona or U of Washington, both are pretty good schools.

Also keep in mind that CA is going through a massive budget crisis, so prices may go up and benefits may go down for a UC education.

do you have to take the ACT to apply to university of arizona?

Written by admin on Sep 24th, 2009 | Filed under: university of arizona

does university of arizona have a good business program because i want to study international business.

UA is known as a public ivy, a nickname given to public colleges that are tough on academics. Its more selective than the arizona state university (ASU, known as a party school).

As for the requirements, it depends on whether you’re a freshman or transfer student. Here’s the link for their college site.
