What associates degree do i get if i want to work with kids?

Written by admin on Aug 31st, 2009 | Filed under: arizona special education

So this is me second year at our community college. At first i thought i wanted to become an elementary teacher, but its not teaching i want to do, i just want to take care of kids. Like working at a day care, professionally taking care of someones kids. I go to paradise valley community college in phoenix, arizona. So i dont want "Associate in Arts in Elementary Education (AAEE) " anymore cause i DONT want to teach at a school. Can someone PLEASE help me! i am planning to make my way to an advisor soon, but hopefully someone online will know :(

if this helps this was under the "degree and certificates" link on my schools site:

2008 - 2009 Associate in Arts (AA)

2008 - 2009 Associate in Arts in Elementary Education (AAEE)

2008 - 2009 Associate in Arts (AA) Degree, Fine Arts - Art

2008 - 2009 Associate in Arts (AA) Degree, Fine Arts - Dance

2008 - 2009 Associate in Arts (AA) Degree, Fine Arts - Theatre

2008 - 2009 Associate in Business (ABUS) (General) Requirements

2008 - 2009 Associate in Business (ABUS) (Special) Requirements

2008 - 2009 Associate in General Studies (AGS)

2008 - 2009 Associate in Science (AS)

2008 - 2009 Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) - A, B, S

2008 - 2009 Associate in Applied Science General Education Requirements (Note: This is not a degree but approved general education requirements.)

please help! i also would like to get my associates too.. i dont think i can handle more school

The type of learning you want to get into and what age group you want to be an aide/teacher for is important in your decision process, along with what "you" are interested in overall and what you are good at. AA and AAEE are likely your best approaches based on your list above, but 2008 - 2009 Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) - A, B, S is also a viable option.

what do you know about Arizona State University?

Written by admin on Aug 31st, 2009 | Filed under: arizona education

Tell me about its campus life, education, reputation and things like that.

There is a dorm hall that held the distinction a few years ago of having the highest density of people infected with sexually transmitted diseases in the entire U.S.
People get down there, a lot.
It’s a big party school. Just wear a jimmy!

APS Announces New Solar Power Plant, Among World’s Largest

Written by admin on Aug 30th, 2009 | Filed under: phoenix arizona education

PHOENIX — Arizona Public Service Co. (APS) today announced plans for one of the world’s largest solar facilities - a 280-megawatt (MW) concentrating solar power (CSP) plant to be built 70 miles southwest of Phoenix, in Gila Bend, Ariz. The Solana Generating Station will produce enough energy to serve 70,000 APS customers when operating at full capacity. The plant will be built by Abengoa Solar Inc., and is scheduled to provide renewable energy beginning in 2011. Spanish for “sunny place,” Solana will not emit greenhouse gases and will provide APS with more solar electricity per customer than any utility in the U.S. The facility also would be the largest solar power plant in the world if in operation today. What’s the length of time is to qualify for instate tuition in Arizona? (Please read details)?

Written by admin on Aug 29th, 2009 | Filed under: arizona colleges

What’s the length of time is to qualify for instate tuition in Arizona and what type of proof do I need to show the college? A Arizona driver’s license, my apartment lease or both?

To get instate tuition you need to prove a durational residency requirement of 12 months (Tennessee is the only state that has no durational requirement) and the intent to maintain domicile or be a permanent resident for the foreseeable future. A driver license and apartment lease would probably do it if it is over a year old. You cant attend college for one year and count yourself as a resident.

Thanks
Bill
